NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION
Nurses optimizes patient’s care from providing comfort & hygiene to administering injections & IV’s, updating medical records, as well as minor therapeutic & diagnostics procedures & processes.
• Surgical Nurses assist in the O.T. with equipment & supplies from pre-surgical preparation to post-operative care & thereby assists Doctors in performing surgical operations.
• A Nurse observes, assess, record symptoms, reactions & progress of the patient; administers medications, help to rehabilitate the patient, instructs the patients & family members in proper health care & attributes in maintaining a physical & emotional environment that promotes recovery.
• Nurse should have sound knowledge of medical equipments & devices & responsible for maintaining the proper personal hygiene & providing meals at scheduled time intervals to the patients.
• School Nurses typically are responsible for overseeing the health of the students in one or more schools. Their job duties often include delivering medications that are prescribed by Doctors & doing first aid for students who fall sick/got injured during school hours. In addition they are called upon to teach students about Basic Health & Nutrition.
